The Red Letter Boyz

Tuskers only! The Red Letter Boyz are a rowdy gang of orcs that control a small slice of the infamous Redmond Barrens. You’ll know you’re in their territory when you see the distinctive, blood-red capital letters they scrawl to mark their mayhem. You’re welcome to set up shop in their territory, so long as you’re willing to play by the rules and pay appropriate protection fees. Cause any trouble, though, and you might not live to regret it.

Joining the Red Letter Boyz means joining a brotherhood. All recruits are given a new name – a single letter of the alphabet which they use as their personal calling card. Most are recruited after getting saved from trouble with the law or a rival gang, creating both a culture of appreciation as well as a feeling of indebtedness that senior members exploit with generous hazing.

The Redboyz are content to protect their own slice of the barrens, and not expanding means there’s a lot of free time on their hands, time they spend training, partying, and bonding with each other. Orcish libidos are famously high, but if you asked them every last member would claim to be a top. This turns the mildest of disagreements into struggles for dominance, with humiliating and degrading consequences for the loser. To keep the violence to a minimum, leadership has formally codified rules around making wagers and bets – your word is your bond, and going back on it is to turn your back on the gang.

Characters

Emm (M) – The leader

With an athletic physique, perfectly warped jaw, and gleaming tusks, Emm is a charismatic presence that commands the attention of any room he enters. Most of the Redboyz revere him, and those that don’t begrudgingly accept that nobody else could hold their organization together.

The culture of lewd bets, raucous hazing, and degrading punishments comes from the top. Emm believes that the gang that fucks together, stays together. The best way to put someone in their place is to put them on the receiving end of a cock – in his experience they often learn to like it there.

Ell (L) – The Mage

Ell stands apart from every other Redboy in one stark way – Ell is not an orc. Ell is an orc poser. He masks his elven genetics with implanted tusks and minor illusions, but he knows he doesn’t quite belong. For his protetion, Ell reports directly to Emm. Emm brought him not just because he believed Ell had the “heart and dick of an orc”, but also because Emm desperately needed a mage on deck to fend off incursions by the Ancients.

Ell’s recruitment nearly caused a mutiny the day Emm brought him on, but Emm quickly made an example of the most vocal critic. Now Ell spends most of his time with the gang quietly standing in the corner, practicing his magecraft on his allies. Mental magicks turn doms into subs, and manipulation spells engineer unfortunate accidents for his critics, accidents those nearby are eager to take advantage of.

Enn’s crew (N) – The Go Gangers

Enn is the most laid back of any of Emm’s lieutenants. Whatever happens, happens, so long as it doesn’t get in the way of his daily ride. Recently, Enn convinced Emm to invest in a pair of motorcycles for the gang, which he used to recruit a wayward Halloweener (Zed) and struggling mechanic (Vee) onto his crew. Thanks to their new Go Gang division, the Red Letter Boys are able to scout their territory and collect their dues from the community faster than ever.
